This thread is intended for a "limited" discusion of the year 2000 Presidential Campaign pertaining only to policies that "directly" effect the markets.
"Directly" is though a broad term. For example, policies or tax breaks given to spur specific industries that indirectly effect the performance of specific companies are well within the "limits" of conversation.
However, issues pertaining to how, where and if a portion of Social Security money should or should not be invested in the markets, or if separate retirement accounts should be established to encourage savings, are the kinds of issues I suggest for discussion.
The following topics are "off topic"- Religion, abortion, drugs, capital punishment, gun control, and rumors about drugs or infidelity.
Please also no personal attacks on one another, or discussions of "character issues".
Note that this conversation is NOT limited to Bush and Gore (or is that Gush and Bore?). Policies of Nader and Buchannan should also be included.
So, remember it's the economy stupid.
