IBD's website redesign has greatly increased IBD's usefulness as an institution, which was already considerable. Now the "Where the Big Money's Flowing" column is right on the front page, updated in 20 minute-delayed realtime - it's a pre-screened volume screen featuring stocks that score well otherwise in IBD's proprietary ratings. The Stock Doctor feature, as well as IBD Charts and Daily Graphs, also add a lot of analytical bang for the buck, all free for IBD or Daily Graphs subscribers.
One thing missing as of yet is a searchable list of high-scoring stocks; the A and A+ rated stocks I've found have been through stumbling onto them; hopefully we'll see a stock search feature on the site in the near future - I've already requested it, and would like to encourage others to do the same.
I'd like to propose a discussion of high-scoring stocks, ways to play them, what's breaking out, what's experienced a radical change in ratings; in general, a forum for Investors in the CANSLIM method, or whatever approximation of it that seems to work in today's markets.
We'd also like to hear from those who take issue with the CANSLIM approach, or quarrel with IBD's numerics, or other contrary points of view.
Civility is requested, please, although the board will remain unmoderated. |
