Return to ServiceWare (SVCW)

ServiceWare (SVCW) (http://www.serviceware.com) chose the dog days of August for their IPO today. The stock priced at $7, and is trading in an $8 1/4 to $9 1/4 range today, in light volume.

They provide software for businesses to automate their customer service solutions, the software is Java based, and their customer list is quite impressive:

I don't know how this company will perform, but I so far I like what I see, including reasonable volume of 3M shares on its first day. I suspect this is a stealth IPO at a bad time, when all the instutions are on vacation. I took a small position (well, all of my positions are small relative to some) but will be doing research over the next couple of days, I only heard about this one today, August 25, 2000.

Prognosticator.
