Return to Attack of the Killer Robots

Robot Combat is any event and idea where metallic gladiators ranging from 25 to 488 pounds, moving about by wheels, tracks, or legs, are put into an arena together with the single purpose of destroying each other. The robots are built by individuals or teams and range from crude plastic toys to extremely elaborate and expensive (upwards of $60,000!) machines. Most are radio-controlled by their creators, but some actually have built-in sensors and electronic 'brains' to determine the location of their opponent and can decide attacks against their enemy.

Comedy Central will soon be featuring what they call "Battlebots"...remote controlled robots that are designed to cause Major Damage to others of their ilk, as it were.

I just saw the "preview" and have not laughed so hard for several days. battlebots.com
