While most threads on SI typically maintain a narrow focus, this thread is not restricted to any particular subject. While we are professional traders, we view our mission in the market as a means to an end, rather than an end in itself. This means that we dont live to trade we trade to live! You wont find us spending much of our time outside market hours obsessing about it. Each of us developed a set of tools and techniques that allows us to make money trading so that we can have time to enjoy all of the great things in life that are free. Thats why youll find friendly banter among the many Net friends that we have made over the past few years, and sometimes we even swap recipes. Theres no such thing as off topic here. Anything that is relevant to (a traders) life is fair game. Everyone is welcome.
Trading Philosophy
Professional trading tools, risk and money management techniques are essential to achieve consistent, long-term profitability in the market. Most veteran traders incorporate the disciplined application of a valid method into an overall approach that takes care of their financial and psychological well being. Given that the success of any particular transaction is based on probability, traders and investors need to develop 20/20 Insight in order to plan for a number of probable outcomes before entering a trade or making an investment. This way, they are prepared for whatever comes to pass. Take care of the downside, and the upside will take care of you.
