Hello All--
This is a thread devoted to longer-term stock investing based on both fundamental and technical analysis. We'll focus here on small-cap/mid-cap stocks, with posts on mutual funds as well. Even if you devote a substantial amount of time to day trading, swing trading or short term position trading, I think you should have a long-term portfolio. The results can be very satisfying.
This thread should interest you if you are an investor for the longer-term (12 to 18 months), but interested in ways to exit stocks when they have reversed their trend and are on the way down. (Personally, I take only long positions, but short sellers' comments are very welcome.)You should also find this thread interesting if you are a buy-and-hold investor and if you are a mutual fund investor.
We hope to trade ideas here on stocks with good prospects, stock selection, entry and exit strategies, use of technical indicators, the state of the market, mutual funds and other subjects relevant to investment over the longer term.
Our objective is to make money together and to get better at doing it.
