Return to Acrodyne (ACRO) is one of two pure plays in the TV

transmitter business (Emcee is the other) available to the
public. The government is about to mandate that TV stations
establish a nationwide HDTV network. Once the clock starts,
1500 TV stations will have to buy new transmitters within
six years. Only six companies in the US are licensed to
make the needed transmitters. Acrodyne's diacrode hi-power
transmitter is the best on the market because it saves up
to 30% in operating costs after purchase. Electricity is a
huge cost for TV stations; saving 30% is a big selling point.
These transmitters sell for $500,000 and up. The government
has mandated boom times for Acrodyne, and Wall St. is as yet only
dimly aware of this pure play in TV transmission equipment.
