Came across this shell last summer. It is a shell with (IMHO) a very bright future, their "Qualifing Transaction" is the purchase of Canadiancities.ca.
IMO ... The big prize for this "Made in Canada" proven portal system is that it mirrors what the Federal Governments Red Book promises to do (linking all Canadian cities together for social and business reasons). This Federal promise is rumoured to have a budget of over $200m.

Canadiancities.ca is home to www.shopcanadiancities.com <http://www.shopcanadiancities.com> - an on-line shopping mall with revenue growth of 200% in the last fiscal year and a proven order and distribution system. They are currently involved in discussions on providing two large Canadian box store with an on-line presence. In addition, they will be adding more cities to their line-up in 2001.
Canadiancities.ca also provides communities with an on-line directory for local, leisure and business ( canadiancities.ca ). They are in over 80 cities across Canada, more cities and an on-line Canadian Lifestyles e-magazine are coming in early 2001.
