I have tried Stockvue, Personal Stockmonitor and a few other portfolio programs whose names i don't remember. They have usually been buggy and/or complicated beyond what is necessary.

But Medved Quotracker has been a pleasant surprise. It was easy to install and worked properly from the start. It will automatically refresh at a minimum of every ten seconds. It collects news and most of the data that the average person will ever use. I am still new to the program. If anyone knows of novel ways to use the program, or has anything to say about it, please post it here.
