Return to RiceX - stabilized rice bran

Starting this thread to follow the RICEX COMPANY of El Dorado Hills, CA. The Co. has developed a high nutrient rich by product of rice that halts the rotting of rice bran (highly fragile shelf life) they reduce from rice grown in the fertile fields of the Sacramento Valley.

Originally Pet Food mfgrs. showed a great interest in the supplement and have been procuring the product for horse and dog feed. The Monsanto Co. has allied themselves in this venture in both investment and distribution overseas.

Now the product has been sold to the Guatemalan Government for use by school children as an additive to high energy drinks served in the lunch rooms. A two million dollar paid order has already begun to be shipped in 2001 to Guatemala, and there is a probable order now in the works for Honduras. This soluble supplement competes favorably with soya bean products that are not as tasteful.

The symbol is Ricx.ob and is trading around 39c share on April 30th, 2001.
