ANALEX Corp. (ANLX) Computer Intelligence Service Provider
aerospace and defense forum
Formerly, Hadron Inc. (HDRN) and Infotechnology (parent to CNBC's predecessor, FNN, Financial News Network), ANALEX is the result of HDRN's acquisition of privately-held, ANALEX Corporation late last year. The NEW Delaware corporation (formerly New York) recently announced the award of a $160 million NASA contract.

It is new management's vision and employees' mission that will be the overriding positives in ANLX's future. Jon M. Stout, the new owner and Chairman, along with his wife, founded DPC Technologies, Inc., a military intelligence information technology company, which was sold to Northrop Grumman in 1999.
Management's long term plan is to become a first class Computer Intelligence Service Provider, coinciding with the goal of a stronger U.S. military.
Some of the reasons I chose to analyze this sector (ANLX, ANT, CPHD, CSC, MANT, SRX, VNX) are as follows:
1) Computer Intelligence is a specialized niche within the broad based defense sector. Compared to its bigger brethren (NOC,GD,RTN etc), it has been overlooked and underfollowed by the analyst/investment banking community and the financial media. 2) Computer Intelligence is different from the general technology sector. ANLX does not have inventories to work off, and is not subject to the general market and psychological conditions. 3) The sector benefits from the stability of long term government contracts. 4) Geopolitical risks have necessitated the growth of government spending in this sector over the long term.
My objective for this investment is long term oriented. For disclosure purposes, I personally own shares of ANALEX. |
