RSS and the Muslim League have no brains.
In the name of the religion, the British played dirty politics among the citizens of one nation, who once lived mostly in harmony.
The English insisted that India was never one country before the british empire. They are wrong. The Mouryas ruled the subcontinent as one nation some 2500 years ago. The Moghals ruled the same for over 200 years. Yes, there were some conflicts in the religious lines. For severl hundred years before the British, Hindus, Muslims, Jains and Budhists lived together mostly in peace. In 1851 Mutiny, Hindus and Muslim soldiers fought the British - hand-in-glove.
And yes there were conflicts between Hindus and Muslims before 1947! But nothing as serious as the rift created by the British - in the name of partition. By some unofficial counts, more than a million people of both religions perished in the sectarion riots. Two generations later, we still can't get over the bitterness while the English are laughing all the way from London. "See, we told the world that these two can't get along."
Is it really?
Screw Kashmir conflict!
Gandhi was, and still is, right!
India and Pakistan should never have been separated! 50+ years of independent India delivered the promise of the secular India. RSS is a loser. I hope it still will be.
