I was wondering if there was anyone who was following Archangel Diamond Corp., AAD-V. I have seen a few postings at various sights on the net but they seem to be done by basically one individual and so far I have just been discounting it as hype. However, I recently received two of the companies most recent press releases from a Geology grad student from the University of Alberta and I found them most interesting. I myself was trained as a geologist and I found the preliminary information cautiously optimistic. The yield from the core samples from the Eastern Plateau in Russia indicates an area which is quite rich in gem quality diamonds. For example, the Mir pipe of Yukita, which grades at >60 ct/100t (ppm) with > 20% gems has the highest $/mt (>$US500) in the world. The pipe has a surface area of approx 7ha. The early results of Archangel's pipe #441, which has a surface area of approx. 11ha grades at 80ct/100t (ppm) with > 50% gems. The geochemistry and indicator minerals for Archangel's pipe is very similar to that of the Mir pipe.
However we need to remember that these samples are only from core drills so far and that a batch process sample has not yet been done on the property. Once done this will surely let us know if there is a story with Archangel. But by then, if the news is good, the stock will be long gone.
I, myself have not yet taken a position in AAD-V. But I keep thinking back to the days when a $10,000 investment in a penny stock known as DiaMet back in early 1990 could have made several million dollars. I have always thought that it was the greatest blown investment opportunity of my lifetime and that I would never get another shot at something like this again.
My question, is it my second chance, can it happen again? Waiting for your comments.
Good Hunting!
