Tremor Entertainment, Inc., is a leading video game software developer for the interactive entertainment industry.

Sales of videogame hardware, software and accessories increased 43% last year, to a record $9.4 billion, according to research company NPD Group. To put that in perspective, the movie industry, which also had a record year, generated box office receipts of $8.35 billion in 2001.

It is into this expanding environment that Tremor has teamed with Microsoft to create its first original Xbox title to be released and marketed under the Microsoft label.

Tremor and Microsoft have secured initial agreements with a major book publisher for a series of novels to be created. There is also ongoing discussion with major Hollywood movie studios for the creation of a feature film, as well as action toys and comic books. Tremor will receive a percentage of Microsoft's net revenues from all ancillary products sold, in addition to royalties based on game sales.

Tremor’s core creative team includes members of the highly acclaimed Blizzard Entertainment team, which created the 1998 blockbuster Star Craft, the industries best-selling game of 1998, which has sold over 3 million units worldwide. Tremor's designers also worked on Warcraft and Diablo, also hit games for Blizzard.

Founded in 1998, Tremor has also developed and produced software for the most popular video game consoles, including Swirl®, Railroad Tycoon II, and KISS: Psycho Circus for the Sega Dreamcast, Railroad Tycoon II for the Sony PlayStation.
