Gartner says that by 2005, Online Procurement will be the dominant B2B trade mechanism for thousands of companies.
This thread will track the progess of CMRC, and it's E-Commerce Market Places. We'll also be following the developments of Covisant as they roll out their 500+ billion dollar Sourcing and procurement model that will be used by the Global Auto Industry.
Covisant and NTT are the first two of presumably many major global companies that have established global marketplaces that will generate Transaction Revenue for CMRC.
Covisant and NTT are the first two companies to ever have tranaction revenue broken out in the CMRC 10 K. The rate of growth of Tranaction revenue was 233% between 2000 and 2001. The Covisant Tranaction Revenue Grew from 6 million to 12.9 million between 2000 and 2001.
What is telling about this transaction revenue number is that CMRC told investors in 2000 that it would not be until 2003, that the Covisant Automotive Consortium would ramp up enough to start providing real Transaction revenue.
