In introducing this controversial commentary (it should not be),
I would like to make the following brief statement from a GATA perspective:
Congressman Ron Paul (R-Tx) and Congressman John Larson (D-Ct)
are sponsoring a bill in a House Committee regarding:
"The Monetary Reform and Accountability Act."
All the Act is about is that if the President of the United States
and the Secretary of the Treasury want to mobilize
the gold of the citizens of the United States in any way,
they ONLY ask the permission of the United States Congress to do so.
Treasury Secretary O'Neill, just back from a trip from Africa
with good-hearted Irishman BONO (who wants to HELP Africa),
Secretary O'Neill has publicly said he is against this bill.
Why, since GATA has hundreds of LETTERS
sent from HIS TREASURY to HIS constituents
that it has not been involved in the gold market since 1978?
Secretary O'Neill is not the GOOD man he would like Americans
to think he is just because he arose from poverty.
He is personally responsible for manipulating a low gold price,
which is DIRECTLY leading to the potential deaths
of 7 million starving Africans!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He has the power to change that overnite.
He chooses NOT to do so.
It is too late at night to go into a fervent diatribe on this subject.
Cafe members well know my OUTRAGE on how our cherished government
is sliding into oblivion. AND, I know the GATA ARMY's outrage
on all of this from all your correspondence.
Thomas Jefferson and George Washington
must NOT BE FORGOTTEN! Those great men
are counting on the likes of the GATA ARMY
to carry on the traditions of what made America
the great nation that it is - OR USED TO BE.
Polemics? I do not think so.
Alain Despert's brilliant and clairvoyant GATA painting depicts
the shining of a LIGHT on a DARK Treasury/bullion bank building.
He envisioned a group of people challenging that venerable institution.
Those people are YOU, the GATA ARMY.
Not a day goes by when a more horrific financial scandal
does not pop up on the radar screen. THE MOST HORRIFIC
IS THE GOLD SCANDAL - [yet to come,] thanks to
the Washingon/New York unfree financial press!
