What makes a good poker player? I would like to limit(no pun intended) the discussion to just 5-card draw. No studs, wild, Texas, or other stuff. Just straight 5-card draw.
And if possible, let's not get into stuff such as, "you gotta have a good poker face," or "you must be able to lie real good," or "always look only once at your hand and then put the cards down," or other characteristics of the individual. I'm not saying that those are not important, but I would prefer to discuss strategies and playing the odds and figuring out those aspects instead.
Now if there are some general "tell" signals to look for, that is fair game here or if you can learn something by observing how many cards someone asks for, tell us why it's important.
Are you a good poker player who wins most of the time? What makes you so?
I won't tell the group you play(with).
