Return to The Iraq War And Beyond

The Iraq war in 2003 has marked the turn of the US foreign policy and the changes of the political situation in Middle East and the in the world.

This thread is created for posters to discuss the truth of the war and its consequences in the coming years.

The topic may include:

_The real purpose of the U.S. government to go to Iraq war.

_Which group and nation want and support this war the most and why.

_Who may be the next "Preempt Strike" target after Iraq.

_What America herself, realistically, will gain or lose from the Iraq war and from the likely future moves as a result of the new US foreign policy(including the gains or losses in political, financial, human lives and diplomatic aspects and "the war against terror", etc.). And what the "Preempt Strike" target nations may gain or lose in the same aspects.

_What the rest of the world may gain or lose from the Iraq war and other wars in the Middle East and may react under the new situation. Will the wars and occupation in the Middle East region lead to World war III or lead to a new cold war or other alternatives in the foreseeable future and why.

_Who may become the main rivals this time if a world war starts or the new cold war unfolds (the old cold war was the Communist East bloc against the West bloc, as we know), and what would be the likely consequences.

-How the war party may cope with the changing domestic and international situations.

_And the related discussions.

Posters please use reasoning and facts for your posts and refrain from personal attacks. Thanks.
