Return to Outsourcing and Free Trade

Outsourcing has become the hot button political issue of 2004. It is also a significant economic trend the effects of which are likely to be felt well beyond 2004. As GDP growth continues to be strong and employment growth weak, the political and economic discussion every day seems to be about jobs going to India and China and what this means for the economy and for specific companies.

This thread is for open, unmoderated discussion of these topics and their investment and political implications. Discussion of companies that will benefit or suffer from outsourcing or regulation of outsourcing is encouraged. Discussion of whether outsourcing should be politically regulated is also encouraged. All points of view are welcome. While personal attacks are not welcome, vigorous debate of the issues is encouraged. The thread is not moderated, so no one will be excluded except as SI Admin sees fit.
