| MeriStar Hospitality Corporation is a real estate investment trust that owns a portfolio of primarily upscale, full-service hotels and resorts. For the year ended December 31, 2003, the Company owned 92 hotels with an aggregate of 24,733 rooms, all of which are managed by Interstate Hotels & Resorts, Inc (Interstate Hotels). These hotels are located in metropolitan areas, growing secondary markets or resort locations in the United States and Canada. Majority of the hotels are operated under brand names such as Hilton, Sheraton, Marriott, Westin, Doubletree, Holiday Inn, Embassy Suites and Radisson. Substantially all of the Company's assets are held by its subsidiary operating partnership, MeriStar Hospitality Operating Partnership, L.P. The Company has sold nine hotels with an aggregate of 2,197 rooms since January 1, 2004. Ten of the remaining 83 hotels are planned for disposition. |
