Mount Copper Wind Power Energy Inc.
Mount Copper is located in Murdochville, Quebec, approximately 100 kilometres west of the town of Gaspé and about 600 metres above sea level. The facility operates 30 1.8 MW Vestas V80 wind turbines and is expected to generate 185.9 GWh per year - enough power to supply 21,000 residential homes. All electricity generated by Mount Copper will be sold to Hydro-Quebec (S&P: A+, DBRS: A) pursuant to a 21-year power purchase agreement. The partnership incurred $89 million in capital costs to build the Mount Copper facility.
Pubnico Point Wind Farm Inc.
Pubnico Point is located in southwest Nova Scotia, approximately 36 kilometres south of Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, on a small peninsula jutting into the Atlantic Ocean. The facility operates 17 1.8 MW Vestas V80 wind turbines and is expected to generate 100.8 GWh per year - enough power to supply 11,000 residential homes. All electricity generated by Pubnico Point will be sold to Nova Scotia Power Inc. (S&P: BBB+;DBRS: A(low)) pursuant to a 15 to 18-year power purchase agreement. The partnership incurred $48 million in capital costs to build the Pubnico Point facility. |
