The FDA should have the honesty and integrity to request Congress change pot laws.
They need to do it NOW before any more people die.
About 70% of people currently in jails (in the US) are there for pot or related charges.
People arrested for pot, on average, spend five times the amount of time in jail as those arrested for manslaughter.
In addition .. Federal and state governments have never fully funded the war on drugs. Local folks are expected to pay for the jails, courts and extra police.
Washtenaw Co. (Ann Arbor) voters just turned down another request for a new jail. For some reason we just can't seem to build them big enough. Oh yes ... the sheriff's department seems to be going belly up also.
We can't afford the police state.
