Will 2008 be the year that the issue of medical marijuana ends the Republican party?

1. Clearly marijuana eases the suffering of cancer patients.
2. The FDA already agrees and has approved THC for prescription.
3. 70% to 80% of voters would allow doctors to prescribe it.

Will the Republican hard line stance against medical marijuana cause them major losses in November?
Are they leaving themselves wide open to attack?

Oh yes .. let's save some time and bandwidth. Yes I'm biased. And yes, I'm a mmj activist.
