Return to Peak Oil, or Oil Bubble?

The purpose of this board will be to discuss any and all aspects related to the price of oil.

Oil politics, oil companies, oil futures markets, oil stocks, oil ETF's, oil energy alternatives, and the effect of oil prices on our lives will be the starting point.

The basic premise is: has supply/demand created a worldwide "peak oil" problem, which will invariably lead to consistently higher oil prices? Or, is oil just part of a worldwide "commodity bubble" - just another speculative bubble resulting from liquidity looking for high returns.

The board strives to educate, inform, entertain, and challenge the posters and readers. In order to keep the discussion intellectually interesting and honest, please attempt to support your opinions by facts.

Arrogance and condescension are discouraged, and taunting, belittling, or arguing just to be argumentative will not be tolerated.
