Hi to you all,

I have just joined the forum after devouring my copy of The Big Short and being left stunned by Mike's performance, so I came hunting and found this site. A quick background on me: I am a 25-year old property options investor living just outside London, and have an unquenchable hunger for all things value investing. I have read a ton of books and watched a ton of videos on the subject. My main points of interest were Seth Klarman, Walter Schloss and rather predictably, Benjamin Graham and Warren Buffett. Throughout the day my mind wrestles with so wanting to grow in my ability to select value stock, but feeling like I reach a brick wall which is exceptionally frustrating.

Since I finished reading The Big Short, I read the letters from Scion Capital, watched Mike give presentations in front of audiences like UCLA, and followed his story on Bloomsberg. I have started spent some time on this forum trying to find how you have all become such accomplished investors. Where did it all begin? What have you been you studying? I do not come from a banking background or have a degree in any related subject -- but I do have a ferocious appetite for investing, but more specifically, for value investing. My business in property options has continued to grow at an exponential rate, but it has not satisfied me -- it is my search for growing my ability to learn and invest that still bothers me. After reading 'The Warren Buffett's Next door' I realised that this really was a business that was accessible to all who wish to take the time to learn it. And I do. So I'm asking for your help -- where would you advise someone who is genuinely willing to put the time and effort into learning in a big way to begin? Where did you learn your technical analysis? With access to such phenomenal amounts of information, how do you laser point your studies and where do you focus? Your advice could save me, and all newbies who read this thread a ton of time and effort by giving your thoughts.

I feel like the past 12 months I have been consuming so much information relative to this field, yet still do not have a defined path or even know where to 'REALLY' begin with getting started. I would love to know where the journey began for you all -- and where you would start if you could do it all again -- knowing what you know now.

Thank you in advance, and I look forward to connecting with you now, and in the future.
