| Forget Hillary! We need a down to earth non career politician as a President.

 Meet Kristi

Kristi is a wife, an experienced small business owner, a lifelong farmer and rancher – and above all else, a mother. She was first elected to serve as South Dakota’s lone member of the U.S. House of Representatives in 2010 – a time in our history where America desperately needed some South Dakota common sense. Today – after two re-elections – Kristi serves on the powerful Ways and Means Committee where she helps craft policies that impact millions of hardworking taxpayers. This Committee is one of the most influential in Congress, with jurisdiction over tax policy, trade policy, Social Security, and more.

While Kristi was taking college classes, her father was killed in a farming accident. She stepped up and helped lead the family farm. Kristi’s family was then hit with the death tax, which impacted almost every decision they made for a decade. It also became one of her motivations to get involved in politics.

Kristi was elected to the South Dakota House of Representatives in 2006 and served as the Assistant Majority Leader by 2008.

Today, Kristi lives on her ranch in rural Hamlin County with her husband, Bryon, and their three children, Kassidy, Kennedy and Booker.
