This property has been explored on and off since 1983 when coarse placer gold was discovered in creeks draining the property. Follow-up prospecting has identified visible bonanza style gold in quartz veins exposed as outcrops. There are several different styles of gold mineralization on the property including a possible epithermal gold deposit. Ximen purchased the Brett property from Running Fox Resource Corp and the adjacent Brett West/Bouleau property from North Bay Resources. Even the 2% smelter royalty was purchased for the Brett property. (North Bay operated the Ruby Mine in California for a while, noted for large gold nuggets and on display in a museum). |
