China's Xinhua TV started the first AI News Anchor, broadcasting in a very 'natural' English language. Apparently the face of the AI anchor and its lip movement is not different from a live human, and probably better in English broadcasting than a Chinese human anchor. Xinhua has an AI anchor broadcasting in Chinese too.
Google's new email system makes suggestions on possible replies for every email I receive. And it is pretty good, very contextual and appropriate. It helped me to be more responsive and timely. This means that Google's AI is reading and understanding every email I receive. No privacy?
Times are changing. Although we must adapt to the times, the implications are huge. Trump supporters and xenophobic rightwing folks better turn their attention to the AI's taking over their jobs, not the immigrants.
