Two grumpy old (apologies to seniors) men, Schumer and McConnell have the audacity to drive the country to the brink of default by playing with the debt ceiling. McConnell gave Dems a reprieve but won't support raising it. He wants to get across the point of Dems massive spending. Duh! Do we really need to play with default to drive this point home.
Dems can increase the debt limit on their own but they need a leader who knows how to do it - ie budget resolution or Rule XX nuke option. I question Schumer's competence and sanity and patriotism as he has not yet done this and is playing with the well being of all by waiting until December. Prevent the fire rather than fight the fire.
