Return to PCPI--Cts. from NEC, CANON, MAtSU.

"Personal Computer Products is a tecnology-based supplier of controllers that can
significantly increase the processing power of a laser printer or digital copier.
By combining 'Adobe Postscript' technology with a powerful MIPS processor, PCPI
has caught the attention of many of the world's leading printer companies. Their customers
include Canon, NEC, Matushita, Minolta, Xerox, etc,.
They expect to incur significant royalty streams over the next several years as printer
and copier manufacturers incorporate PCPI's technology into their product lines. The company
recently announced an ageement with Canon USA, the #1 supplier of printer products in the U.S.
for development of a 24 page per minute laser printer using PCPI's developed controller.
Their apparant competetion is Electronics for Imaging (EFI/ OTC-- $1.6 Billion mkt.
cap) the leader in Digital Copier Post Script Printing. Currently the EFI product sits in a
mini-tower and is placed OUTSIDE the printer with a visible EFI logo. OEMs have wanted this
technology to be built INTO printers for some time, but had been unable to find a suitable
alternative"--until now. PCPI seems to represent to Canon NEC, and Matsushita an enormous
opportunity to sell more printers with greater capacities at a lower cost. Please express here
any thoughts or ideas that you might have concerning PCPI:
