Richland Mines is an exciting mining company who seems to have uncovered a major Vermiculite deposit. The news release is as follows;
Extensive trenching of the company's vericulite deposit has defined a major vermiculite ore body in Butler Township, Sudbury Mining District, Ontario. The initial testing indicates grades from 50% to 90% vermiculite with the A-zone initial reserves being estimated at 144,00 tons. these reserves are only calculated to a depth of 50 feet and managment expects the ore body to run deeper. The B-zone is being trenched and outlined with samples indicating a major deposit in this area. Tenor of grade is similarto A-zone. Due to the ore body size an additional ten claims were staked to the mortheast. Deposits and surronding geology have been mapped. A bulk sample has been procesed and separation and classification results have been excellent with a recovery rate of over 95%. Over 100 samples of concentrate have exfoliated, sized , and submitted to customers in Europe, Canada, and the U.S. Vermiculite is an industrial mineral used emensively in brake linings, wall board, lightweight aggregates and as a soil conditioner in horticulture and the agriculture industry.
