Thought I'd give everyone a heads-up on Programmer's Paradise (Nasdaq: PROG), the largest distributer of shrink-wrapped software for computer programmers.
Programmer's Paradise recently acquired Computer Supershop, thereby locking up 80 percent of this growing market. Their recent earning figures, released on Oct. 24, were excellent. EPS was above estimates, and overall income exploded due to the Supershop acquisition.
The stock is up 20 percent since Oct. 24. With a p/e of around 7, it's a great undervalued stock with solid growth prospects. The only downside is, at the moment, it's thinly traded. Volume, however, has been up since the Oct. 24 earnings report.
With the coming explosion of NT 4.0 programming tools, PROG is a stock worth watching. I already own 1,000 shares and am preparing to buy more.
