HOT of the press: Re: BEMA Gold

By Gord Lewis, Independent reporter for the Alberta Cronicle

May 21, 1997 (1:00 p.m EST). Bema Gold (BGO-TSE, BGO-VSE, BGO-American) is currently bid $10.50 and offered at $10.55. Based on the number of blocks on the bid and offer side and the recent positive news over the weekend, BGO is expected to inch upwards as the company approaches its annual shareholders meeting in June. A concensus among analysts following this stock see a target at $15 in the short term.

Today, volume is light at 133,170 shares trading hands. With average volume at 400,000/day, BGO could top the $11 mark before week is over.
