The diamonds if they originated in the flat lying dyke like structure would be very good. They were valuated at a high value. In three stones lay 60% of the 200 ton sample's value. The trouble is it was not apparent in the two bulk samples which area the diamonds came from as the two samples were mixed. Diamonds may occur in a very highly variable way in a single deposit and sampling site may vary in riches by orders of magnitude. Many samples would have to be taken throughout the extent of the structure to determine if it is economic. The samples would have to be fairly large to give a fair test. In addition the dyke structure itself is narrow, some 8 feet wide and goes underneath a lake. The mining of such a structure underground would be fairly expensive. In order to justify a plant and mining operation in that region they would have to find in the order of 1 billion dollars or more in diamonds. This means they will have to find from 5 to 10 million tons of this dyke material. If they found it 1500 feet deep and one mile long and continuously mineralized it might be, if rich enough, a practical consideration. The likelihood of finding this order of mineable structure and grade in my opinion is not high.

And that is given that nothing went wrong with the sampling in the first instance.
