In the voice recognition and telephony area, a very good company is Periphonics (PERI). PERI is a leading provider of computer based voice and telephony processing products. Many large companies such as, Charles Schwab (Telebroker system), UPS, IRS, large telecom companies, Federal and State agencies etc. use PERI system to automate their sales, service and support infra-structure. In today's cost-aware customer-driven markets, PERI systems are one of the key component that can reduce the work force and at the same time increase customer satisfaction. IMO, it's going to be a very lucrative market segment.
