Johan Lembke, "Global Competition and Strategies in the Information and Communications Technology Industry: A Liberal Strategic Approach, "Business and Politics, Vol. 4, No.1, 2002.

From the main text, pp.48-50:

Challengers with new, exciting solutions - such as carbon naotube field emission dispys (CNT-FED), developed by Samsung(Korea), Sony(Japan) and Cetek Technologies, Poughkeepsie, NY(U.S.)- work to bring alternative technologies to the fore front and to overcome the entrenced positions of incumbents. Nanotube emitters represent what could be referred to as a "shifting the paradigm" approach aimed not at protecting the U.S. market from import competition, but at creating a forward-looking and globally competitive(ie cheaper and more reliable) FPD technology. Nanotubes can be grown in situ on the back-plane with excellent yield provided the processing temperature are not high enough(not possible with glass substrates), which results in a significant reduction of the total cost of the display. The CNT-FED offers an alternate FPD technology that carries the promis of an internationally competitive solution.

Very old news-Cetek Technologies Inc. (CTKT), manufacturer of advanced structural and electronic ceramics, has acquired 100 percent of privately held MultiLythics Inc. of Greenville, S.C.. ..............
