I really don't think there is such a thing as a stupid question. It's possible, but IMO the insiders do want to diversify their holdings. This technology changes so fast. The someones out to eat your lunch, and the having most of your eggs in one basket applies. I have not looked to in depth. Generally insiders have, or can earn more shares that can be exercised in the future to replace some shares that are sold. Bill Gates, Paul Allen, Stephen Jobs, and Warren Buffett are diversified.
