Robert,
I was not able to figure out how to use the site but I got the story
from my broker. I hate to be negative all the time but it really did
not sound to me like something good. As I recall it Pulver operates
a relay chat service for vocaltek i-phone. But he is not employed
by vocaltek which means that CAML is going after one individual and
I think the carrier. CAML will win in court but it will not bring
anything to CAML but bad publicity. I have, already, heard complains
from people, who are planning on buying i-phone, that CAML is the only
company out there that is not making it's product available for free
comparison and they will go with something that they can try out first.
All other competitors are putting beta versions on the net (webtalk,
webphone and i-phone).
There is no doubt that there is a future for the internet phone out
there in one form or another. But CAML keeps shooting itself in the
foot all the time. Vocaltek is getting accepted as an industry
standard; Itelco is getting ready to do IPO and it will be hot;
Qdek is offering a set of tools together with their webtalk. Either
CAML would, finally, get it together or it would be out of the game.
The law suite will not help CAML.
As far as publicity, CAML does make a lot of noise. But that is good
only if CAML delivers. I do not remeber ever hearing as much about
Vocaltec's i-phone as I was about digiphone. But yet they are more
accepted. I do not remeber who but someone on this board said
something like -- only companies like microsoft can afford not deliver
in time.

PS From the law suite I have learned that there are relay chats for
i-phone. Does digiphone have any service similar to that ?
