I've seen a few of those things over the last few weeks. It's that time of year. In your link, in the "Can't be beat" chart, the last 15 years don't look too good. I did see one link blogs.marketwatch.com that said this particular year in the presidential cycle, the market tended to peak later than May. I guess I have bought mutual funds in the 401k in the 4th quarter in the past due to seasonality. But I don't think I've ever just sold stuff just because of the time of year. It's usually because I can sleep at night or it hit the bottom of a price channel.
