My year end list of my bigger small/micro cap holding and where I think they stand, at least for me.

Best performing stock in this category for me was DECN. I was adding when the share price was low earlier this year, although I didn't get as much as I wanted. I think it is still undervalued here IF they can get their product to a commercial success. They have taken on J&J in the courtroom and have won so I have high hopes that they will go on to a greater success. I was thinking about taking some money off of the table at somewhere north of a buck a share.

Biggest disappointment has been VSYS. I would have thought that this was going to be the year. It is my biggest small/micro cap holding. The good is that their are growing revenues and they would appear to have a product that is best in class(or at least close to best in class) that would appear to undercut the competition in price. They also have the relationship with MSFT. The con for me is the time it is taking to bring this to fruition and what that is doing to the share structure of the company. The longer it takes, the more secondaries that are done and the more long term value of each share is eroded.

Still have decent sized positions in FTLF, PYDS, LQMT, IMSC and BKYI. I have smaller positions in XPLT, SYEV, CDOC and CTDH. Out of these companies, the one I have been buying is SYEV. I like their product line and the fact that it is starting to appear in Costco. It also may be the right product at the right time. BKYI and IMSC have product in good areas right now so I am holding but I am a little puzzled as to why they haven't had more commercial success as of right now. LQMT will probably get jettisoned next year if they can't something that is a big commercial success since their share structure has gotten out of hand. I have some hope that PYDS might be able to resurrect sales and profits it they can grow their present business lines(as they are doing) but they will be jettisoned next year if they can't. XPLT ran away from me before I could pick up enough so I am holding the small amount that I do have. FTLF may be able to have some success if their business continues to pick up. CDOC I will hold since they seem to have lots of stuff going on in many different businesses and CTDH is a pure hope play waiting for them to maybe come up with something really good that their product is needed for.

I usually don't have a lot of free time to research companies so I probably stick with some longer than I should have and sell some a bit too early when I get the feeling that positive things are going to happen, especially when negative things happen when I am paying close attention. DSNY and MITK are ones that I have had several times in the past but didn't hold onto since, at least to me, I didn't think that they would eventually have commercial success after holding them for a while. I always try to live and learn.

Good luck this year and have a safe and healthy holiday season.

Neal
