Dear WalleyB: I wouldnt worry too much about the stock activity of any stock between last Friday and New Years. The institutions are mainly out of the market now as the have laid their bets, made their capital gains distributions and except for real bargains will just watch. So we are dealing with the day traders and mo mo guys and gals. With volume down due to institutional inactivity the %age of the volume caused by the above increases significantly thus leading to market volatility. On top of that the bond yield has increased and that is a negative for retail stocks. It will all reverse IMHO in January. You dont think for one minute that COSTCO management would have approved a 2:1 stock split (their very first) if they didnt feel operations would justify it, do you? Hang loose and enjoy the holidays. JDN
