Well Ann, you know I have said all along that these economic issues wrt outsourcing and trade policy are bi-partisan! My entire problem with Bush at least on these issues is the team that he has hired are woefully incompetant. Even Pat Buchanan says so. Kerry's financial plan which is nothing radical and not protectionist by any means at least tries to level the playing field and make US corps PAY for the priviledge of shipping jobs offshore while they sell here. Why can't republicans do something about this? Kerry's plan actually LOWERS corp tax rates for the good companies that are trying to hire here and makes the offshorers pay more. Pretty simple.

And if Bush were really interested in defense (and I think he is) then he should be concerned about the decimation of the steel industry and machine tools and all this other stuff that these unfair trade policies are destroying in the US, because a strong nation needs all this industry in case war breaks out or who knows what. I don't get it, I really don't.
