Good evening. I tapped this thread tonight after reading of AOL's 5+ gain, and was wondering why. I think I have some indications from your posts.

I have a question that has been running around in my head for a month or so and am hoping someone here may be of assistance. With all the ISP's out there, are there any that are publicly traded as a pure play? I ask because my ISP, ipa.net, recently bought out another ISP, Intelinet(sp?). While my ISP is privately held, it occures to me that this trend is bound to continue, and with any consolidation among a particular group, revenues rise and the stock price rises with it.

So, any ideas? Any thoughts, suggestions, directions to past posts or other threads entirely appreciated. Thanks gentelmen (& ladies if there be any)

Incidentally, you may want to look at the latest issue of "U.S. NEWS & WORLD REPORT". In the Business & Technology section, pg. 49, a very interesting article titled "Psst, you want free Internet?". A negative for my query, but the market is full of positive versus negative. Guess that is why they call it a market. Again, thanks.
