Hawk, it is Wall Street vs. Heard on the Street on this one. Wall Street wants to show aspiring and future slimey managers what it can do for a company that throws big underwriting dollars its way. As I have said before, what was revealed in the story was not news to us, it was not news to analysts on the Street and it was not news to the momentum investors who have profited handsomely on AOL and other hot air balloons. Everyone with the possible exception of some of the dumbest of retail investors know the game, but it is the same game that brings in the gravy for these same managers and investment firms. Why stop playing now?
