you say you nevercover stock profits with puts... why not sell out of the money puts if you believe there is a strong bias on the upside... and generate cash to lower your long call cost... thats my strategy... with intel, compaq and amat... have generated over 100,000 in premium expiring in nov, dec and jan... and would be happy to be put the stock if I'm wrong... wrong to the tune of the strike less the premium that is... just a thought
