Hi MF

Wife and I get our Pfizer shots on the 23rd with second dose in August. I could have had the Astra Zeneca already but didn't want to chance it
I am not a big fan of Astra Zeneca. They seem to change their minds about who should get this vaccine every day. the Pfizer shot would be my preferred one and I believe I can get it through Shopper's Drug Mart within a week for the first dose.

Everyone seems to think getting the jab will end all our problems with COVID...I am not one of those people. Even though you get the shot of whatever, they advise that you continue to observe the precautions from before you had the shot... Now the variant P1 is more prevalent in Alberta than the original...Hmmmm no one will stick their neck out and say how these variants will respond to vaccines designed for original COVID.

I still think we are a year or so from beating this disease.

These graphs do not suggest that the infection rates are slowing down at all. Alberta is one step away being totally out of control, hence the lock downs in effect today.

I get a kick out of the USA saying to avoid Canada when their 80,000 new cases/day and 1000 new death count/day compared to Canada at 8000 new cases/day and 38 new deaths/day. with the border between us locked up the Americans would have difficulty entering anyway.

This thing is far from over.

As far as my health effects post-Covid goes...I am over most of them.... it is at the point where I am unsure whether the discomfort I feel is due to COVID or diabetes.

anyway...I am strongly thinking of getting the Pfizer vaccine if any but am under no illusion I will be immune even after the second dose.
