Shares of Wind River Systems Inc. (WIND) climbed 5% to $14.20 as the company reversed a year-ago loss and issued second-quarter and full-year guidance.

The company reported earnings of 2 cents a share versus the year-ago loss of 5 cents a share. Wall Street was expecting Wind River to earn 2 cents a share, according to First Call.

Wind River also said revenue in the quarter rose 17% to $61.8 million from $52.8 million.

As for guidance, Wind River is expecting earnings per share of 4 cents or 5 cents in its second quarter on revenue of between $64 million to $65 million. The company said before items, earnings per share in the second quarter should be 5 cents or 6 cents.

Wall Street is anticipating earnings per share of 6 cents, according to First Call.

For the full year, Wind River said it expects earnings per share of between 26 cents to 28 cents on revenue of between $267 million to $270 million.

Excluding items, Wind River said it should earn between 28 cents to 30 cents for the full year.

According to First Call, Wind River is expected to earn 28 cents a share on sales of $267.3 million.
