Even a bounce downward to the 52-week low wouldn't be that much of a decline. I really believe that if the Quake sales are good then they may see a good bounce upward on the news. However, I based my buy more on their last earnings report rather than just the popularity of one software title. ID software game titles generate a lot of peripheral activity. In other words, when you buy an ID software game , the engine provides the game world with a vehicle in which an unlimited amount of game levels can be created. This means that you have an adventure game that is endless. I don't know of a lot of titles that offer you this (Duke Nukem does but it isn't an Id or GT product). In addition, Id games offer you network capabilities that a lot of popular games do not which is a big selling point with the more accomplished users. All in all this could be a short-termer (six months to a year) but their long term future can be bolstered if their product manufacturers continue to introduce games that people buy.
