Recommended WP8 application: Tether-X It works. Our cable internet provider went out tonight. Tether-X allows you to use the 4G connection on your cell-phone in a pinch. I'm using it right now to surf the internet on my Surface RT, using the cellular connection on my phone. AT&T charges for this; Tether-X lets you get around this using ad-hoc networking.
