The biological polymers will begin to replace petroleum polymers where possible. The main advantage being that they are biodegradable, so you can just throw them in your yard when you're done with them. -g-

As your article pointed out, some of the biopolymers are already cost competitive.

POL is a well run US company with a foothold in biopolymers (corn based).

Recommended here back when I was trying to thinking of how to hedge against the possibility of falling nat gas prices (if I only knew!).
